🚀 Cloud & DevOps – Microservices Application (2024–2025)

End-to-end cloud project delivering a production-style microservices stack on AWS with EKS, RDS MySQL, secure networking, and a full GitLab CI/CD pipeline.

• 1) Infrastructure (Terraform & AWS): VPC with public/private subnets, Internet Gateway, route tables, EKS cluster, RDS MySQL in private subnets, Security Groups, IAM Roles. Outcome: automated, reproducible foundation.
• 2) Containerization (Docker): Dockerfiles for Node.js and React, multi-stage builds, slim images, local validation with docker-compose. Outcome: lean images ready for Kubernetes.
• 3) Orchestration (Kubernetes): Deployments & Services on EKS, public exposure via LoadBalancer, ConfigMaps & Secrets, basic HPA. Outcome: scalable, secure microservices.
• 4) Database (MySQL): AWS RDS in private subnets, access restricted to EKS; backend connected via K8s Secrets. Outcome: secure external DB.
• 5) Security & Networking: SSL/TLS (ACM), Ingress Controller, domain on GoDaddy pointing to AWS LB. Outcome: production-grade HTTPS + DNS.
• 6) CI/CD (GitLab): Build → Test → Deploy pipeline; sensitive vars in GitLab CI variables. Outcome: zero-touch deployments on each push.
• 7) Observability (Grafana): Prometheus + Grafana dashboards for cluster health, CPU/RAM, pod restarts; basic alerts. Outcome: real-time visibility.
• 8) Cost Optimization (FinOps): Billing tracking, t3.micro for EKS/RDS, idle envs stopped. Outcome: functional cloud within Free Tier.

Summary: Terraform-automated AWS infra; microservices (frontend + backend + DB) on EKS; secure HTTPS & DNS; GitLab CI/CD; Grafana monitoring; cost-aware ops.
